About the Vail Tribune
The Vail Tribune is an independent English-language digital newspaper for Vail, Colorado, published by Tribune Publications. It covers the Town of Vail, Eagle County, the mountain economy, real estate, the resort industry, community life, and culture, with year-round residents first in mind.
What we are
An independent newsroom. The Vail Tribune is structurally independent of resort operators and major advertisers: no advertiser influences coverage, and sponsored content, when it exists, is always labeled as such. We publish our corrections, our funding model, and our ownership openly.
How we work
- Every factual claim traces to a retrievable source; news stories follow a two-source rule.
- We never invent facts, quotations, people, prices, dates, events, scores, or visits.
- Every photograph is a real photograph of the actual subject, with an honest credit on the article page.
- Corrections are made openly and quickly; material errors are corrected with a dated note, never silently.
